7th National Summit on Fatherhood

This national summit celebrates fatherhood. Its purpose is to educate, inspire and equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist fathers in becoming more involved in the lives of their children.

Teachers in SE Georgia Eligible for TEACH Academy

School professionals involved in career counseling in the Magnolia Coastlands Area Health Education Center — a 39-county region in southeast Georgia-are eligible to participate in the TEACH Academy (Teachers Advocating and Exploring Careers in Health). Participants will include counselors, science and math teachers, health occupations teachers, and school nurses. Shadow on-site with local practicing health care professionals to learn what is involved in specific health occupations. Discuss how to adapt new content knowledge, experience and materials into specific educational situations. Participants will receive a stipend upon completion.
