County Customizes Collaborative Web Site Address
Tim Johnson
loves his new collaborative Web site but he wanted a shorter URL address
that would be easier to remember. He found a low-cost solution at GoDaddy.com
for less than $10/year.
"Go to www.godaddy.com
and type in the domain name you're interested in," said Tim. "If your
Web address is available, follow the instructions to register the name."
Tim selected
www.fccisathens.org for his domain name. He purchased the domain name
for $7.95/year and the privacy option for $1.95/year.
Once his
order was complete, Tim selected the option to forward his Collaborative
Webs domain name, www.gafcp.org/fcnetwork/clarke to www.fccisathens.org,
so people can get to Tim's collaborative Web site by typing either address.
