Coordinator Receives Chamber Award

Angela Westra, Family Connection coordinator for Visions for Sumter Collaborative, received a Community Development Award from the Americus-Sumter County Chamber of Commerce.

Angela Westra receives an award for helping to improve education in her county.

She serves on the chamber's Education Committee. She also is the Region 8 co-chair for Family Connection.

Westra is a graduate of Leadership Sumter and served as the co-chair of Leadership Sumter 2005. She is active in other community events, including serving as a judge for the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership, attending Quarterly Membership Luncheons and Chamber Business After Hours, and attending ribbon cuttings and grand openings for new local businesses.
