It's My Life Conference
Oct. 12 - 14
Holiday Inn Capitol Plaza
Sacramento, Calif.

Register at www.casey.org for the second annual It's My Life Conference. "It's My Life" is a youth-centered framework designed to guide transition services for young people who "age out" of foster care and other substitute care. The goal of the conference is to support youth economic success with emphasis on employment, education and housing.

The event is an opportunity to work in partnership with alumni and youth councils from across the country. The conference will showcase best and promising practices in policy, implementation, and research on life skills, transitional living, and interdependent living. It also will highlight services that seem to best bolster young people's chances of being successful once they leave educational, child welfare, juvenile justice, and other systems that offer support.

The conference is co-hosted by Casey Family Programs, Annie E. Casey, Casey Family Services and Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative in partnership with the California Youth Connection, and California Child Welfare, Employment, Education and Housing agencies and organizations. For more information e-mail tina@tinajanek.com.
