FCP to Premier Collaborative Webs at Winter Training Event

Family Connection Partnership announces plans to launch Collaborative Webs at the Family Connection Winter Training Event, Feb. 20, 2006, at the Wyndham Atlanta-Downtown hotel, located at 160 Spring St. N.W.

Collaborative Webs are new communications tools to help Family Connection county collaboratives market themselves on the Internet. Collaborative Webs include a free, pre-designed Web site for each Family Connection collaborative with six standard pages: home, news, success stories, event calendar, about us, and contact us.

Each collaborative also can customize its Web site with photos, documents, and additional pages, including goals, links, resources, partners, photo gallery, reports, publications, annual plans, and fact sheets. In addition, two global pages link to the Family Connection Partnership Web site and Family Connection search for collaborative contact information.

Family Connection Partnership will hold training classes to implement Collaborative Webs in April. If collaboratives with Web site experience wish to activate their sites sooner, they can use a Do-It-Yourself Guide that will be available by year-end.

For more information about Collaborative Webs, e-mail Laurie Searle at laurie@gafcp.org. For more details, view a Collaborative Web Fact Sheet.
