Georgia High School Technical Communication Competition

The Atlanta Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) invites Georgia high school students to submit entries to "Aspirations," the Georgia High School Technical Communication competition. There is no entry fee. The STC Atlanta Chapter sponsors this competition to encourage development of technical writing skills among students in grades 10 through 12. Awards will be presented at the STC Atlanta Chapter Annual Awards Banquet in April 2007.

Georgia Afterschool Business Partnership Breakfast:
Afterschool's Impact: Business Leadership and Ways to Connect the Two for a Bigger Bottom Line


The Georgia Afterschool Business Partnership's first business breakfast event will inform and engage business leaders and policymakers by emphasizing the importance and increasing the awareness about the bottom line impact afterschool experiences offer Georgia's children and families. They also will demonstrate ways afterschool programs are hoping to work with the business community. This event is sponsored by the Georgia Afterschool Investment Council, Communities in School Georgia, Georgia Department of Education, 21st CCLC, Junior Achievement of Georgia, YMCA of Metro Atlanta, United Way of Metro Atlanta, and America's Promise.
