Connected Editorial:

From the Desk of Albert L. Wright, Board Chair
Family Connection Partnership, Inc.

Happy holidays! As we approach the end of 2002, we'd like to celebrate the many collaborative successes in Georgia during the year. The theme for this issue of Connected is "A Year in Review," featuring community, county, regional, and state-level successes in improving results for children and families.

This year has presented all of us with unprecedented opportunities to build bridges. Family Connection Partnership is uniquely positioned to connect our local communities' priorities to state and national partners, specifically in areas of collaboration and results accountability.

The Partnership's Board of Directors is taking an active role in helping to build these bridges in both the public and private sector. On a personal note, as Board Chair I have learned even more about Family Connection and the issues facing Georgia's children and families. I am impressed with the commitment of communities across the state to care for its most precious asset - its people.
