Connected is a bimonthly electronic magazine ("e-zine") published by Family Connection Partnership, Inc., of Atlanta, GA. Distributed via e-mail to thousands of subscribers, Connected provides real-world solutions to the complex challenges facing Georgia's children, families and communities.

Connected features news and information on current initiatives, resources, tools and upcoming events that support community collaboration, results accountability, community-based decision making, family-centered approaches, and prevention-oriented strategies. Connected also showcases community successes and promotes "what works" using research and evaluation practices that have proven to be effective in communities.

Connected enhances public awareness of the issues facing Georgia's communities by:

  • Communicating—Disseminating information on the successes of community collaboration that lead to improving the quality of life for Georgia's children and families.
  • Educating—Informing communities of various initiatives and strategies throughout the state.
  • Informing—Updating communities on available resources, and documenting and celebrating community successes.
  • Increasing awareness—Providing summaries of cutting-edge research and evaluation to support communities in developing strategies for their work, programs and services.
  • Influencing—Affecting policymakers, decision makers, funders and partners in the decisions that affect results being achieved in local communities.

Its diverse audience includes:

  • Family Connection community collaboratives throughout Georgia;
  • local and state legislators, other elected officials and policy makers;
  • governing boards and leaders of local, state and national organizations and foundations working in the arena of child well-being;
  • leaders in the business, civic and faith communities;
  • college and university officials; and
  • area media.
