What We Provide
Knowledge and expertise that we’ve developed during the past 20 years working in communities with Georgia Family Connection:
- community collaboration
- strategic planning and strategy development
- technical assistance and training
- data-driven decision-making,
- research and evaluation
The key to strengthening Georgia’s families is collaboration at the local level to develop and implement plans based on each community's needs. Every collaborative organization coordinates a planning process that:
- identifies needs and resources
- sets goals and priorities
- evaluates strategies, programs, and practices
- measures and reports results.
We work with the collaborative organizations to develop this local decision-making process. Their goals are focused on improving child and family well-being in five areas:
- healthy children
- children ready to start school
- children succeeding in school
- stable, self-sufficient families, and
- strong communities
As a learning-based organization we provide customized technical assistance and training, promote what works throughout the state, maintain a system of accountability, and develop standards that can be replicated nationwide.
