What We Provide

Knowledge and expertise that we’ve developed during the past 20 years working in communities with Georgia Family Connection:

  • community collaboration
  • strategic planning and strategy development
  • technical assistance and training
  • data-driven decision-making,
  • research and evaluation

The key to strengthening Georgia’s families is collaboration at the local level to develop and implement plans based on each community's needs. Every collaborative organization coordinates a planning process that:

  • identifies needs and resources
  • sets goals and priorities
  • evaluates strategies, programs, and practices
  • measures and reports results.

We work with the collaborative organizations to develop this local decision-making process. Their goals are focused on improving child and family well-being in five areas:

  1. healthy children
  2. children ready to start school
  3. children succeeding in school
  4. stable, self-sufficient families, and
  5. strong communities

As a learning-based organization we provide customized technical assistance and training, promote what works throughout the state, maintain a system of accountability, and develop standards that can be replicated nationwide.
