Fitzgerald-Ben Hill County Family Connection is seeking an individual to plan, facilitate, and coordinate services for local partners working together to improve conditions for children and families.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess excellent communication and writing skills, and be able to assist in designing the collaborative strategic and annual plans, which includes developing a data profile of the community, preparing written narratives and presentations based on these data, and staffing and facilitating collaborative meetings and teams.

Applicants must be able to prepare required reports, including those related to expenditures and progress on the plan; assist the collaborative in organizing and executing the annual evaluation plan, and maintain all records. Applicants must be self-motivated and be able to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals from public and private agencies and service providers, local businesses and industries, and families and their representatives, to support their work in planning and implementing those plans.

Candidates must have three years of experience in social work, or as a classroom teacher or counselor, working with children and families, and must be proficient in general computer skills and with word processing software. A bachelor’s degree is required.

The candidate must be willing to travel a moderate amount of time within the state and participate in required state-level, job-related training, and must be comfortable working for a collaborative Board of Directors.

This position is a grant-funded contractual position that runs concurrent with Fiscal Year 2012 (July 1, 2011-June 30, 2012) and renews annually on July 1 of the new fiscal year, subject to funding. As a grant-funded contractual position, no benefits, paid holidays, or paid vacations are offered.

Start date: Oct. 3, 2011.

Salary Range:  $35,000-$40,000

Work Schedule:  32-40 hours/week
