Governance
Georgia Family Connection collaborative organizations work with local organizations, agencies, and leaders to create a shared vision and establish. Together these partners develop strategies that outline how they will improve the health and well-being of the children and help families achieve self-sufficiency in their communities.
Governance reflects the way a community organizes itself to bring its vision into focus and reach its goals. The collaborative governance must ensure clear and structured leadership and guidance that will help the organization function well and produce positive outcomes for the community.
We believe the aspects of governance are essential to Family Connection’s work are that the advocates and representatives involved in the organization and in the decision-making process are diverse; and that families are intentionally engaged in the process and have meaningful input into the work that affects them.
